Marti
Walker,
“The Performer”
When
she’s not singing her heart out at a
local jazz club or writing the
world’s most tear-jerking love song,
Marti’s “stage” is her office at
Tango Advertising. A native English
speaker, Marti lived in Las Palmas,
Grand Canary Island, Spain, for
several years, becoming fluent in
Spanish. While in Las Palmas, Marti
worked as a Spanish-English
translator, taught ESL and was the
first non-Canarian musician to
perform with popular folklore
ensemble, “Mestisay.” Marti has
been involved in radio production
since 1996, and has supervised and
directed various film, video and
multi-media voice-over projects in
English and in Spanish. She has
written and/or produced projects
for: The WB Television Network,
MicroProse (Hasbro), '76 Gasoline,
Nordstrom, Gallo's Wild Vines Wines,
Forever Spring, and others. In 1998,
Marti was co-recipient of the Don
Belding Award for Creative
Achievement for production of a
Foreign Language Radio Spot for The
WB Television Network, entitled
"Rap Night."
